Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Tofu does not operate an advertising or analytics server. Your projects, tasks, schedules, focus records, and Screen Time selections are stored on your devices and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account.

Accounts

Tofu does not create or operate a separate developer account. You do not need to provide your name, email address, or password to use the app. Tofu does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

App data and iCloud

Projects, Todo items, calendar plans, settings, and focus history are stored locally. When iCloud is available, Tofu automatically stores synchronization data in Apple’s private iCloud key-value storage associated with your Apple Account. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s privacy terms. The developer does not operate a separate server containing this app data.

Screen Time and Family Controls

Tofu uses Apple Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to let you choose apps, websites, or categories to shield during Focus. Apple provides privacy-preserving tokens for selected content. Tofu does not receive your general browsing history or a readable list of everything you do on your device.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Tofu receives purchase status needed to unlock purchased features but does not receive your full payment-card details.

Retention and deletion

Local and synchronized data remains until you delete it. In Tofu, open Menu > Purchase & Data and choose “Delete all data” to permanently remove tasks, projects, schedules, focus history, settings, Screen Time selections, and Tofu synchronization data from the device and iCloud. App Store purchase history is retained by Apple so purchases can be restored.

Children

Tofu is a general productivity app and is not directed specifically to children. It does not include social networking, public user-generated content, or targeted advertising.
